Following qualification as a Physiotherapist, I have been in practice since 1992. Over the last six years, I have focussed and trained as a specialist practitioner in the field of Lymphodema, to provide added support and benefit to my patients. During my career, I have also provided services in a local hospice and am supporting residents at a care park. I have introduced gym facilities structured specifically for the older person. I have been a practising Pilates Therapist since 1999, following a course in Body Control Pilates through Bodywork-Pilates Limited. Since then, I have gone on and completed the APPI (Australian Pilates Physiotherapy Institute) level 1-3 pilates training courses. I have continued to practise pilates myself and use the APPI principles in my treatments.

As a result of seeing an increasing number of female patients suffering the effects of Lymphoedema following breast surgery, in more recent times, I have qualified as a Lymphoedema Therapist. I also have a post graduate qualification through the University of Lancaster, which included placements at Christies Oncology Centre, Manchester and the Lymphoedema Training Academy for MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage). To further develop my knowledge in this field, I have embarked on a course that focuses on exercise rehabilitation through the internationally recognised Pinc and Steel certification programme.
